Terms of Service and Refund Policy

These terms apply when you download, try or buy KiddoRemote (the "Software"). The Software is made and sold by Zhongshan Weineng Software Development Studio, a sole proprietorship registered in Guangdong, China ("we", "us"). Contact: 953579411@qq.com.
1. What the Software is
KiddoRemote is a playback controller for Windows. It lets a tablet or phone on your home network choose and control video files that are stored on your own PC, which is connected to your TV. It uses the free VLC media player for playback.
The Software contains no videos and provides no content. It does not download, stream, share or recommend any video. You are responsible for making sure you have the right to play the files you add to your library.
2. Free trial
You can use every feature free for 30 days on each PC. After the trial, a license is needed to keep using it.
3. License
- A license is a one-time purchase for one PC. It is not a subscription and does not expire, unless the purchase page says otherwise.
- You may use the Software for personal and household use. You may not resell, rent out or redistribute the Software or your license key.
- If you replace your PC, contact us and we will move your license to the new one.
- We may deactivate a license key that was refunded, charged back, shared publicly or obtained fraudulently.
4. Refund policy
- Please use the free 30-day trial first to make sure KiddoRemote works with your PC, TV and tablet.
- If you bought a license and it does not work for you, email us within 14 days of purchase with your order number, and we will refund you in full. We may ask what went wrong so we can fix it, but the refund does not depend on your answer.
- After a refund, the license key is deactivated.
- Purchases made through the Microsoft Store follow the Microsoft Store refund policy.
5. Privacy
Your video library, watch history and screen-time records stay on your own PC. What the Software sends to our license server, and why, is described in the privacy policy.
Purchases on this website are processed by our reseller Creem, which handles payment and tax under its own privacy policy; we never see your card details. After you pay, Creem sends us your order number, name and email address. We use the email address only to send you your license key and do not store it or the name; we keep the order number together with the key so we can help you and process refunds.
6. Updates and support
We fix problems and release updates from time to time. Support is by email; we usually reply within two business days (China Standard Time).
7. No warranty and limitation of liability
The Software is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that it will work with every PC, TV, network or video file, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not affect licenses already bought.
